A poem of friends

I feel the need to write in rhyme,
Don't worry-it won't be a long post this time.

ON THE SUBJECT OF FRIENDS

To have a friend is to have a wall.
Something to lean on when you fall.
Friends are fun, and cool (to you)
devout, amenable, and solicitous too.
They always there for you when needed the most,
and never ignore, brag or boast.
Friends like you for who you are,
not because you're a superstar.
Friends are: hefty, lean, slight and tall.
But to single out these qualities isn't being a friend at all!
Disabilities-or injuries-mean nothing to true friends!
It may be hard for them, but it's easy to transcend.
While having lots of friends can never hurt,
Being a friend requires much more effort.
Follow the protocol listed above,
And you'll be a great friend-one to be proud of!
Being cool, hip or popular doesn't matter to me.
A true friend is surely what I want to be.
